Responsibilities
- Deliver challenging, thought-provoking English Literature lessons that cultivate deep critical analysis, creativity, and a nuanced appreciation of classic and contemporary texts.
- Design and implement rigorous schemes of work, captivating lesson plans, and rich, diverse teaching resources that elevate student engagement and learning
- outcomes.
- Instill a lifelong love for literature by encouraging students to interrogate themes, contexts, and literary devices with intellectual curiosity and confidence.
- Conduct thorough and impactful assessments, provide incisive feedback, and track student progress to ensure outstanding academic performance.
- Mentor and empower students to develop critical thinking. articulate expression, and academic resilience
- Take an active leadership role in curriculum review, departmental strategy, and school-wide literary initiatives, including clubs, competitions, and dramatic productions.
- Uphold and champion the core values of discipline, respect, and excellence that define As-Salaam High School's identity and culture.
