The position
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is an institution of the Aga Khan Health Service, Kenya, which is an Agency of the Aga Khan Development Network. The Hospital is part of a network of health facilities, which includes Hospitals and Outreach Health Facilities across East Africa. The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu is in an exciting growth phase and has attained acknowledgment of its quality by achieving ISO 9001:2015 certification, ISO 15189:2012 accreditation for laboratory services, Safe Care level 5 accreditation and is at advanced stage of attaining Joint Commission International Accreditation.
The Aga Khan Hospital, Kisumu has Outreach Health Services at Kisii, Kakamega, Kitale, Bungoma, Kericho, Kibuye-Kisumu, West End- Kisumu, Busia, Homa - Bay, Migori, Bomet, Eldoret, Kimilili, Nyamira and Kabarnet. The Hospital is seeking to attract interested and qualified candidates for the following professional positions
Responsibilities
- Receive, process, undertake initial patient evaluation and provide diagnostic radiographs.
- Timely archival of images in the hospital PACS, and retrieval and dispatch of validated radiology reports as per the departmental processes.
- Ensure radiation safety measures and protection are observed to comply with government regulations and to ensure safety for patients, staff, and self.
- Ensure scheduled maintenance, and calibration of medical equipment are in place and followed.
- Diploma in Medical Imaging Sciences or bachelor’s degree in Radiography.
- Two (2) years’ working experience in a similar position.
- Registered and licensed by the Kenya Nuclear Radiological Authority.
- Member of professional body preferably SORK.
- Strong attention to detail with excellent record-keeping skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

RADIOGRAPHER – (LOCUM)
OVERALL RESPONSIBILITY
Reporting to the Radiology Manager, the successful candidate will ensure provision of effective, efficient, and quality radiography services in the hospital.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The requirements
