Duties And Responsibilities
- Receiving of patients and customer care services in the laboratory
- Performing specimen collection and prompt reception of all specimen from clinics, ward and referral facilities.
- Performing daily maintenance of all laboratory instruments and equipment.
- Performing specimen storage and maintain updated specimen logs.
- Performing analysis of specimen.
- Preparation of laboratory reagents, media and standards operating procedures
- Daily maintenance of laboratory equipment and machines
- Monitoring of laboratory commodity suppliers
- Reporting, recording, verification, dispatch and maintaining confidentiality of client results
- Sourcing and maintaining of hospital blood bank
- Ensuring of general cleanliness of laboratory working areas and maintaining a cleaning log.
- Ensuring quality assurance and infection prevention control
- Carrying out any other duties assigned by the medical director and lab manager
