Responsibilities
- Account Management & Customer Relationship
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned key accounts in logistics and supply chain.
- Develop a deep understanding of the customer's business model, supply chain challenges, and logistics needs.
- Build long-term relationships and foster customer loyalty.
- Business Development & Revenue Growth
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within key accounts.
- Drive commercial negotiations and secure contract renewals and expansions.
- Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with internal teams (operations, warehousing, transport, SEZ) to ensure service delivery matches customer expectations.
- Monitor service KPIs, resolve operational bottlenecks, and escalate critical issues as needed.
- Reporting & Analysis
- Track account performance metrics (volume, revenue, profitability, service level).
- Prepare periodic business reviews and performance reports for clients and management.
- Provide market intelligence and customer feedback to support strategic planning.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure customer contracts, SOPs, and service agreements are documented and adhered to.
- Stay informed of relevant regulations, customs requirements, and industry best practices.
KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)
- Revenue growth per account
- Customer satisfaction and retention
- Contract renewal rate
- Service level performance (claims, disputes etc.)
- Margin improvement
Profile
- Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in key account management in logistics, freight forwarding, warehousing, or supply chain.
- Proven track record of managing B2B clients in sectors such as FMCG, Manufacturing, Pharma, Retail etc.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end logistics operations and supply chain dynamics
