Position overview
GreenMax is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our day-to-day finance operations, reporting to the CFO. This is a critical role responsible for ensuring the integrity of our financial systems, timely reporting, and insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated professional with a deep understanding of financial practices in a dynamic, growth-oriented environment. The position may be located in any one of GreenMax’s main operational offices: Dublin, Ireland; Warsaw, Poland; Nairobi, Kenya; Lagos, Nigeria; or Kinshasa, DRC. Candidates must have the legal right to work in the country where they would be located.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and present timely and accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Conduct routine financial analysis, including job cost accounting to track company and project performance, identify trends, and recommend improvements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Ensure compliance with local tax laws, statutory obligations, and financial regulations.
- Maintain strong internal controls and streamline financial processes.
- Liaise with external auditors, regulators, and key stakeholders.
- Provide financial guidance to senior management and support strategic planning initiatives.
- Manage regional banking relationships.
- Support negotiations and due diligence processes with prospective lenders/investors to provide working capital to fuel GreenMax expansion
- Support due diligence of prospective acquisition targets for GreenMax.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Member in good standing of the Association of Chartered Certified Accounts (ACCA) or national or local body of equivalent status, such as:
- Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK)
- Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN)
- Chartered Accountants Ireland (CAI)
- Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Ireland (CPA Ireland)
- Ordre National des Experts Comptables (ONEC-RDC) DRC
- Stowarzyszenie Księgowych w Polsce (SKwP) – Accountants Association in Poland or similar bodies in the Netherlands, France, United Kingdom, or the United States
- Minimum of 6 years of post-qualification experience in financial management or a similar role.
- Experience with corporate and project finance transactions preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting standards and tax laws.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
- Fluent English reading and writing are mandatory. Applicants with additional French language skills are encouraged.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadline
