Farm Operations Manager Job

• Collaborate closely with senior management to translate strategic goals into actionable farm-level plans.
• Oversee day-to-day execution of all production and operational systems.
• Serve as the chief authority over all on-farm operations and ensure directives are executed effectively.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of 70+ staff, fostering performance, accountability, and cohesion.
• Oversee all aspects of production operations, including breeding, nutrition, animal health, housing, stocking density, and grazing management.
• Co-develop and manage farm operational budgets in coordination with the finance team.
• Monitor cost drivers, identify efficiencies, and ensure resource use aligns with growth and financial targets.

Qualifications:

• Relevant Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience in a management role in commercial agriculture with time spent in senior operational leadership.
• Executive-level leadership with hands-on operational capacity.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to make data-driven decisions.
• Effective communicator, capable of managing both field-level teams and reporting to senior leadership.
• Independent, proactive, and adaptable in fast-changing environments.
• Committed to performance improvement, team development, and long-term farm success.
• Resilient and mature, with the ability to operate in a remote, high-responsibility setting.
• Comfortable working in multicultural environments and rural East African settings.
• Comfortable with living on-farm, willing and able to work outdoors regularly and operate motorbikes/quadbikes as needed
