Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive prenatal care, education, and counseling for expectant mothers.
  • Assist in labor and delivery, ensuring the safety and well-being of both mother and newborn.
  • Monitor maternal and fetal health during pregnancy and childbirth.
  • Offer postpartum care and education to new mothers.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
  • Promote breastfeeding and educate families about infant care.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Midwifery or Bachelor of Science in Midwifery from a recognized institution.
  • K.C.S.E C Plain and above.
  • Valid practice license & registered with Nursing Council of Kenya.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in a midwifery role.
  • ACLS & BLS certifications from a recognized institution
  • Certificate in Computer applications
  • Strong knowledge of obstetric care and standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

 

General Nurses

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in accordance with established protocols and standards.
  • Perform routine assessments of patients’ health status, including vital signs and physical examinations.
  • Assist in administering prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Educate patients and families on health management, preventive care, and available resources.
  • Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
  • Respond to patients’ needs promptly and provide emotional support during their treatment.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Community Health Nursing from recognized institution KRCHN,
  • KRM, KRN or BSc in Nursing
  • K.C.S.E C Plain and above
  • ACLS & BLS certifications from a recognized institution
  • Certificate in Computer applications
  • Valid practice license & registered with Nursing Council of Kenya
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a nursing role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining a high standard of patient care.
  • Compassionate and patient-focused approach to care.
  • Ability to adapt to changing situations in a dynamic healthcare environment.
