Job Purpose:

Reporting to the Commercial Warehouse Manager, the ideal candidate will be responsible for administration and supervision of warehousing section while ensuring safety and accountability of stocks as per company warehousing policies and procedures.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Ensure all goods received are in accordance with approved orders.
  • Execution, accounting and timely cancellation of bonds to ensure bonded items are delivered on time.
  • Verification of approvals on accountable documents as per authority levels.
  • Ensure warehouse procedures and policies are adhered to maintain accountability and security.
  • Coordinate perpetual stock counts and reconciliation of the differences for stock accountability.
  • Identify obsolete stocks and preparation of report for action by relevant committees.
  • Compile various stock reports for management review.
  • Ensure bond transaction regulations are followed and bond-licensing application is done on time.
  • Monitor re-cycling of Headsets material to minimize Wastage.
  • Ensure outstations demands are met satisfactorily and on time.
  • Administration and supervision of supplies officers to ensure smooth operation and end user satisfaction.
  • ONIF packing of headsets, stationeries and other inflight materials.
  • Ensure supplies officers transactions are done within 24hrs against SIVs.
  • Ensure system support at all times.

Knowledge, Skills and experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
  • Diploma in Supplies Management or equivalent from recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in warehousing and logistics, 3 of which must be in a supervisory level.
  • Membership in CIPS, KISM, KIM or any other related body.
  • Strong understanding of IT systems.
  • Assertive and procedures compliant.
  • Superior team leadership, team working and co-operation skills with the ability to influence positively and engage direct and indirect reports and peers.
  • Excellent interpersonal, analytical and communications skills as well as excellent supervisory and problem solving skills
  • Ability to handle pressure and difficult situations with resilience, calmly and effectively.
  • Must be a person of unquestionable integrity.
