Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Weekly pickup of purchases spares and consumables from suppliers.
  • Ensure proper record keeping of all related documents including Duty Remission, inbound items, clearing documentation from KRA, KEBS and other government agencies.
  • Liaise with expansion, warehouse and finance departments for pertinent documents to enable processing of export documents.
  • Liaise with export customers on regulatory and legal documents requirements and initiate process for approval of pertinent documents.
  • Manage and track outbound logistics to countries outside Kenya. Report on status and delays.
  • Share company documents and follow up with agents on timely processing of export documentation.
  • Deliver and follow up documents to and from regulatory agencies (KEBS, KRA, KNCCI, KAM etc)
  • Maintain filing systems for Duty Remission and VAT exemption documents as required by law.
  • Update and maintain a tracker/log for all approved duty remission scheme and reconciliations.
  • Maintain an updated log for all KEBS approvals/document and initiate renewal process 3 months to expiry of any document.
  • Assist in duty remission reconciliation and avail all supporting documents for presentation to KRA.
  • Follow up with insurance companies for refund of premiums paid for duty remission (and VAT Exemption where need be).
  • Raise POs for approved PRs. Delivery of hard copies of PRs for signoff by pertinent HODs.
  • Documentation and transfer of payment documents to finance department.

Requirements

  • Certificate, Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement or equivalent
  • Good analytical and excel skills.
  • Self-Starter and Self-driven
  • Attention to details with strong focus to accuracy.
  • Proficient in English
  • Possession of a Kenyan driving license will be an added advantage.

Degree qualifications

  • Associate’s Degree
