Housekeeping Supervisor

  • The Housekeeping Supervisor oversees the daily and strategic cleaning operations of the school.
  • This role ensures that routine cleaning, hygiene maintenance, and scheduled deep cleaning programs are performed to international standards. The supervisor ensures compliance with safety regulations, manages staff performance, and ensures all areas—including classrooms, offices, laboratories, washrooms, sports areas, and common spaces—are clean, safe, and welcoming.

Responsibilities

    • Team Supervision & Scheduling
    • Direct, supervise, and coordinate the daily activities of the cleaning team.
    • Develop and implement weekly and monthly cleaning schedules, including termly and pre-opening sanitation routines.

Cleaner

The Cleaner plays a vital role in ensuring a clean, safe, and hygienic environment across the German School Nairobi. Working under the direction of the Housekeeping Supervisor, the Cleaner will deliver high international standards of hygiene and sanitation in all indoor and outdoor school areas, including classrooms, offices, washrooms, corridors, sports facilities, and event spaces. Key Responsibilities

    • Toilet and Cloakroom Areas (Hourly Maintenance Required)
    • Clean lavatory bowls, urinals, sinks, taps, mirrors, tiles, and all fixtures.
    • Refill toilet paper, hand soap, paper towels, and air fresheners as and when required.
    • Disinfect surfaces and mop floors with approved detergents.
