Job Description

Senior Advis
- The Senior Advisor – Children and Digital will support the use and scale-up of digital tools for child-led advocacy and lead the development of World Vision’s thought leadership on children and digital. The role will ensure that digital tools and platforms are effectively used to enhance child participation and advocacy efforts, contributing to strengthening children’s groups, in liaison with the Child Protection and Participation sector. This position involves promoting thought leadership, collaborating with technology partners, and monitoring trends in digital advocacy. The role will also facilitate the development of child-friendly content and curricula and coordinate with regional and field offices to support child-led digital advocacy initiatives and events, including through the Centre of Excellence. The position will engage with external partners and stakeholders to amplify children’s voices and advocacy efforts through networks.

- Support the overall implementation and use of digital advocacy for child-led advocacy and participation programmes across World Vision, and connect Field, Support and Regional offices (20%)
- Position World Vision as a thought leader in children and digital, including with partners (40%)
Qualifications and requirements
Required Education, training, and experience
- Bachelor’s or Masters university degree (in any subject)
- At least five years of relevant working experience with children and young people, especially in the area of child-led advocacy and participation.
- Demonstrated knowledge on the use of technology with a particular focus on online mobilisation/organising and social media
- Understanding of how to use communications and create child-led content, including leveraging AI
- Experience in setting up and running safeguarding for children and digital projects
- Strong project management skills, including establishing goals and outcomes, monitoring the implementation of the project and ensuring accurate and timely reports
- Fluency in spoken and written Englis
Preferred Experience, Knowledge and/or other Qualifications
- Cross- cultural sensitivity and experience in working with children and young people.
- Understanding of AI and how to apply it for social change
- Experience in developing thought leadership
- Additional language: particularly French, Spanish or Portuguese
Travel and/or work environment accommodations
- 10% travel
- Work entirely from home or hybrid work arrangement depending on location
