Abt Associates a global leader in implementing technical assistance programs and research in the fields of economic growth agriculture, trade, social and environmental policy, and climate change, seeks highly qualified candidates for the anticipated USAID Cross border Resilience Program (CBR) in East Africa under the Regional integration and Stronger Economies (RISE) DIG, which seeks to increase resilience, strengthen livelihood systems, and expand markets in the Moyale, Koramojo, and Moderna regions. The project will be structured to strengthen regional systems and institutions that increase the power of affordable and safe food leading to transformation that improves short and long term capacity to respond to shocks and stresses. The program's activities are expected to build systems lovel resilience to drought contribute to reducing humanitarian needs and build the capacity of governments in the region to prepare for respond to, and recover from shocks and stresses, both natural and man-made on needs and build the program's activities are en shocks and shosses, both natural and mandate.
All positions will be based in Nairobi, Kenya, with some potential for travel to corresponding regions, and are contingent upon project award to Abt Associates. .

Regional Trade Director
• Under the supervision of the Chief of Party (COP), the Regional Trade Director is responsible for designing the project's trace policy agenda and creating trade systems to interact with governmental organizations at national, regional and local levels, and collaborate with non-governmental organizations and the private sector in impacting regional trace policies in relation to resilience Candidate must have a Master's degree and at least 12 years’ experience, including serving in a senior technical position for market policies, livelihoods, community engagement and/or international development project
