  • Regional level support:
  • Analyze and present financial reports in an accurate and timely manner; clearly communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements as needed by FS.
  • Coordinate the preparation and the collection of quarterly budget comparisons and projection reports.
  • Coordinate annual financial audit schedules for country programs and follow up on the action points.
  • Support AD’s with annual country financial reviews and organize MCC spot checks for country programs.
  • Support AD’s and FS in addressing potential fraud cases.
  • Ensure vehicle procurement protocols are followed and regional vehicle summary is maintained.
  • Facilitate trainings for partners across the region on standard MCC financial management and reporting expectations.Country-Level Support:
  • Provide training, on-boarding and support for country level financial staff, especially FASWin and fraud training in the region.
  • Support country Representatives (Reps) with conducting partner financial review audits.
  • Reviewing country wire requests and Representatives Personal Monthly Reports (PMRs).
  • Support Country Offices to ensure compliance with policies and procedures related to financial management and the management of associated risks.
  • Provide support with Year End accounting in country and for FS (Grant Prepaid, Accounts payable, etc.)
  • Provide training to new Representatives FS (Budgets, Fund request, Partner review).
  • Assist country FS staff to enter budget additions.
  • Provide backup for country-level finance staff when they are on leave. Including, but not limited to: FASWin entries, budget comparison, monthly reporting.
  • Follow-up on Momentum trainings and implement further with country offices.
  • Coordinate with, and assist, area level HR Coordinator and country teams regarding computation of employment and other taxes for NS, SWers, office, etc.
  • Manage country electronic FS filing system.
  • Support country offices in reviewing partner project financial reports.Qualifications, Skills and Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business.
  • Prior work experience of 5 years with international humanitarian organizations, non-government, or government institutions /organizations in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a wide range of staff and varying levels of financial capacity.
  • Ability to train staff in accounting and basic budgeting.
  • English fluency is required, French is an added advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications e.g., Word, Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook. Knowledge in cash Flow & forecast is a distinct advantage.
  • Attention to detail, ability to organize work in a methodical way.
  • Discreet, detail and client – oriented and willingness to learn new things.
  • Legal right to stay and work in Kenya.
