Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the market mapping and expansion in territory by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors to increase Jotun market share.
  • Work closely with internal stakeholders by having consistent updates and clear understanding in order to meet customer needs and smooth workflow.
  • Evaluate and follow up on team objectives statuses, sales targets, collections, etc.
  • Visit existing and new customers, contractors and consultants with the team at project sites to follow up on projects, assist in supply or apply issues, resolve concerns affecting bottom-line, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Organize, develop, motivate and lead the project sales teams by setting clear targets and framework, coaching, supporting, following up and monitoring each team member to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of the whole team.
  • Identify and map relevant projects and work to ensure Jotun specifications are approved and securing projects for Jotun’s business benefit.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key upstream clients and project owners to influence specification decision-making at the project management stage.

We are looking for a candidate with these Qualifications:

  • Must hold a bachelor’s degree, preferably in the fields of Business Administration, Quantity Survey and Architecture or Interior Design.
  • Minimum of 5 years working in B2B Sales, with proven track record.
  • Extensive experience and understanding of the paints or construction materials industry is essential.
  • A strong communicator, able to inspire and, build and maintain relationships with key project stakeholders like architects, consultants etc.

SUMMARY OF THE ROLE

In this role, you will manage Decorative sales activities and mainly promote Decorative products in Kenya, by applying Jotun’s sales tools and techniques to target projects to achieve sales targets, gross margin and targeted market share.
The role will also require you to manage Specifications in Decorative segment by initiating, monitoring and following all major projects customers, to identify and penetrate strategic markets and, to ensure that Jotun is favorably specified and is the preferred paint supplier for all targeted projects.
