Responsibilities

    • Design generic projects on regenerative agriculture and agroforestry for landscapes and communities, with the objective to secure funding from corporate and donor sources.
    • Offer programmatic expertise in the design of customized landscape and community regenerative agriculture and agroforestry projects, with the goal of securing funding from corporate and donor sources.
    • Support the field implementation team with the implementation of a select number of regenerative agriculture projects.
    • Collaborate closely with the communication team to support the launch of new regenerative agriculture offerings.
    • Collaborate with the livelihoods and climate teams to continue to develop the “calculator tool” which quantifies the economic costs and benefits of implementing the regenerative agriculture offering for farmers.
    • Support the global partnership teams with developing partnerships for regenerative agriculture financing.
    • Explore Regenerative agriculture blended finance opportunities in close collaboration with the Director Strategic Partnerships of the development department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in agriculture, international development, social sciences, economics, ecology, natural resources management, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of progressively responsible work experience in project design and management.
  • Knowledge of coffee and cocoa supply chains, sustainability risks, and regenerative agriculture.
  • Fluency in English; French and Spanish a plus
  • Experience with rural finance and blended finance is a plus
  • Ability to work independently and with multi-disciplinary teams, multi-task and work under tight deadlines;
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills, including preparing technical reports

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Forests and Agriculture Project Manager, Regenerative Agriculture, will support implementing the Rainforest Alliance´s strategic objectives as related to Regenerative Agriculture. This position will specially focus on project design, support the strategic direction and communication of our Regenerative Agriculture approach, and explore Regenerative agriculture blended finance opportunities. The project manager, Regenerative Agriculture, will be part of the Forests and Agriculture unit within the Global Programs department.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Salary: For USA based candidates only: 

  • National Salary range (Excluding NY and DC) - $63,655- $90,906
  • New York Salary Range - $75,605- $108,007
  • Washington DC Salary Range - $73,180- $104,542
