Description

Our client, a 4- star hotel in Lamu, is looking for an experienced Procurement & Logistics Officer. The successful candidate will be responsible for procurement, storekeeping, and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate Must have at least 3 years’ experience in a similar position, in the Hospitality Industry. He/she should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management.

Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with Finance Department on issues related to procurement & cost control.
  • Monitor and coordinate deliveries of items between suppliers to ensure timely delivery of all items to the hotel.
  • Carry out stocktaking on a regular basis and reconcile physical stock.
  • In charge of inventory management, demand planning, receiving of incoming stocks and control.
  • Plan for month-end stock takes & ensure that all stock reports are presented on time.
  • Ensure that all minimum stock levels are being followed & no stock-outs are experienced.
  • Ensure proper receiving and issuing of goods from stores and relevant departments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Purchasing & Supplies Management.
  • Must have at least 3 years of experience in a similar role in the hospitality industry.
  • Must have excellent organizational, planning/logistics and administrative skills.
  • Excellent computer literacy skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and to tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written & oral.
  • Have analytical skills.
  • Accounting experience in stock management/control.
