Major responsibilities

  • Receive, interpret and process prescriptions.
  •  Dispense medications by compounding, packaging and labelling.
  •  Dispense medicine to patients both on prescription and over the counter.
  • Maintain proper storage and security conditions for drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
  • Counsel and provide information to patients on drug administration.
  • Establish and maintain patient profiles, including lists of medications taken by individual patients.
  • Participate in periodic stock take of drugs and other pharmaceuticals.
  • Bill patients/clients for drugs and equipment dispensed.
  • Deliver medications and pharmaceutical supplies to patients, nursing stations or operation rooms.
  • Any other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Technology from a recognised institution.

• Registration with Pharmacy & Poisons Board with a current professional practice license.

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in the same position.

• Knowledge of Hospital Management Information System.

• Good Customer care skills.

• Ability to multitask.

• Transparency and honesty.
