Responsibilities

Companionship & Advocacy:

  • Offer thoughtful conversation and companionship throughout the day.
  • Accompany the client to appointments, errands, and social engagements.
  • Act as her advocate in public, professional, or institutional spaces, helping communicate, navigate, and clarify where needed.

Support & Coordination:

  • Assist with light planning, reminders, and organization of daily schedules.
  • Help manage communications-email, texts, and light documentation, if needed.
  • Use digital tools to assist with form filling, appointment bookings, or other light administrative tasks.

Observational Role:

Be alert and attentive to the client’s environment and interactions to ensure her
safety, ease, and acces

Flexibility & Presence:

Maintain a calm and cheerful presence even in long or irregular days.

Administrative and functional roles include, but are not limited to:

  • Medical assistance, including triage and taking vitals, tracking and enforcing edication, exercise, physiotherapy, and dietary guidelines
  • Managing the family’s calendar and commitments
  • Preparing for meetings, presentations, or other engagements, including board Meetings
  • Program support for the Client’s tasks, including online research, invoicing,
  • Handling personal and business correspondence, and securing and maintaining related files
  • Handling accounting matters, including family payments and bookkeeping, with confidentiality
  • Managing corporate and personal note-taking and record-keeping for multiple
  • individuals and entities
  • Monitoring personal and company administration and compliance, including doing regulatory filings, across the board
  • Handling of personal errands and logistics, including backstopping the Client in her absence

Travel logistics, communications, and accounting

  • Handling any urgent/sensitive tasks and emergencies that may need immediate response
  • Undertaking basic bookkeeping, including receiving and making payments, and
  • petty cash management
  • Tech support: including procurement, installation, testing, and maintenance of gadgets
  • Household support including shopping, tidying up, maintenance, cooking, cleaning, hospitality,

Any other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Personal Qualities:

  • Naturally cheerful, calm, and respectful demeanor.
  • Strong sense of discretion and confidentiality.
  • High emotional intelligence, patience, and maturity.

Professionalism:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Excellent communication skills-both spoken and written.
  • Strong organizational abilities and a proactive mindset.
  • Computer literate-comfortable with smartphones, email, basic document handling, and online platforms.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in personal support, executive assistance, or customer-facing roles is an advantage.
  • Prior work with elders, VIPs, or in advocacy roles is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Working Conditions:
  • The role is primarily in-person and will involve travel within the city.
  • While the typical day is structured and reasonable, there will be instances requiring
  • flexibility in hours.
  • The role includes medical, physical, or domestic caregiving responsibilities.
