Description
- Served for a minimum period of Six (6) years, Three (3) of which must be in the grade of Senior Petroleum Geophysicist, CSG 9 or in an equivalent position in the wider Public Service;
- Bachelor' s degree in any of the following disciplines: Petroleum Engineering, Petroleum Engineering Technology, Petroleum Geophysics, Petroleum Geochemistry, Petroleum Geoscience, Geology, Physics, or its equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
⦁ Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than Four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
⦁ Certificate in Computer Applications skills from a recognized institution; and
⦁ Shown merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities will entail:
⦁ Analysing and verifying petroleum geophysical data submitted by oil and gas companies;
⦁ Site planning and layout for the development of oil and gas infrastructure;
⦁ Undertaking a cost benefit analysis of upstream, midstream and downstream opportunities;
⦁ Maintaining and managing geophysical technical data and samples related to oil and gas;
⦁ Designing of geophysical field surveys for oil and gas operations;
⦁ Developing oil and gas geophysical data security programmes and;
- Participating in resource planning for oil and gas programs.
- Ensuring compliance with the guideline for oil and gas companies.
