To support the origination, structuring, and execution of Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and equity-raising transactions in East Africa across sectors by developing a seasoned understanding of the Investment Banking (IB) M&A Advisory portfolio, and by performing activities independently to support the growth of a leading M&A Advisory business, within defined Corporate IB risk parameters and relevant regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

Type of Qualification: First Degree

  • MBA, CFA or ACCA qualification is an added advantage

Experience Required

Responsibilities

  • In-depth understanding of the East African business environment and key players.
  • Proficient understanding of key financial concepts, with experience in interpreting client financial statements, calculating financial ratios and building financial models.
  • Experience in drafting client documentation (information memoranda, teasers, management presentations, board materials, pitch proposals, memoranda, and other presentation materials).
  • A thorough understanding of a deal life cycle with strong project management skills and excellent client handling skills.
  • An understanding of key legislation and regulations.
  • A minimum of 4 years in investment banking or private equity.
