Description

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing services to all patients to assist them regain good healthParticipate in ward rounds and writing ward reports
- Prepares specific ward reports and timely submit the same.

- arry out nursing care plan
- Maintaining intravenous IV fluids
- Carry out blood transfusion
- Monitor and deliver mothers in labour, receiving and resuscitating babies
- Order and administer drugs
- Assist in the theatre
- Recruit new clients for MCH/FP and give health talks and training to patients and clients
- Provides Family Planning Services and Child Welfare Clinics
- Counselling of patients
- Follow and maintain antiseptic technique and ensure infection prevention SOPs are followed
- Instrument cleaning/sluicing and sterilization/autoclaving
- Cleaning and dressing of wounds, removal of stitches
- Writing down patients diets and ensuring the same is followed
- Nursing patients on transit to referral hospitals and ensure the same are procedurally admitted to hospitals.
- Prepares specific ward reports and timely submit the same
- Carry out preventative medicine form time to time
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Diploma in Kenya Registered Community Health Nurse(KRCHN)
- Must be registered in the Nursing Council of Kenya and with a valid license
- Minimum two years working experience in related field
