Responsibilities
Sourcing & Purchasing
- Identify, evaluate, and engage reliable suppliers for goods, materials, and services.
- Prepare and process purchase orders in line with company policies and budget requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores to maintain optimal stock.
Supplier & Contract Management
- Negotiate terms, pricing, delivery, and payment schedules with vendors.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers for long-term collaboration.
- Manage supplier contracts, track performance, and ensure compliance with service level agreements (SLAs).
Procurement Planning & Reporting
- Develop procurement plans aligned with project timelines and company objectives.
- Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, and price lists.
- Generate regular reports on procurement performance, cost savings, and supplier reliability.
Compliance & Risk Mitigation
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, ethical standards, and industry regulations.
- Evaluate and mitigate risks in the supply chain, including delivery delays and quality issues.
- Assist with audits and ensure complete documentation for all procurement activities.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Liaise with project managers, engineers, and department heads to anticipate and meet material and service requirements.
- Coordinate with finance for budgeting and timely payment processing.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to sites to avoid project delays.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in procurement, preferably in construction, manufacturing, or logistics.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar).
- Sound understanding of procurement regulations and best practices.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
