Salary Scale: Ksh. 22,270 – Ksh. 30, 020 P.M
Basic Salary: Ksh. 22,270P.M
House Allowance – Depending on duty station
Leave Allowance – as existing in the Civil/Service
Commuter Allowance – Ksh. 4,000 per Month
Medical Cover – as provided by the Government
Annual Leave – 30 working days per financial year
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have-:
- Certificate in any of the following fields, Laboratory Science, Laboratory Technology
OR
- Certificate in Occupational/Proficiency Test Certificate Grade III/II/I in Civil Engineering for Geological Laboratories from a recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
This is the entry and training grade for this cadre. An officer at this level will work under the supervision and guidance of a more senior and experienced officer. Duties and responsibilities at this level include: –
- preparing geological and construction samples;
- drying, crushing and preserving samples for testing and cleaning of work area and equipment
- assisting in field and sampling investigation.
