- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with C-level executives and account managers of our top brands and distributors in the category. You will be one of the key external representatives of Jumia in this category, alongside the Country Managing Director and CCO.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to drive sales growth and maximize revenue across your portfolio.
- Lead the acquisition of new high-potential brands and large distributors to enrich our assortment and consolidate Jumia’s leadership in your category.
- Identify and unlock monetization opportunities by promoting and selling Jumia’s advertising and visibility services to brands and partners in your portfolio.
- Collaborate with marketing and commercial planning teams to build promotional campaigns tailored to your accounts and the category dynamics.
- Analyze sales performance and market data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
- Monitor and report on key account metrics, including sales, inventory, campaign performance, and customer satisfaction.
- Negotiate win-win agreements and long-term partnerships with key accounts, ensuring mutual profitability and sustainable collaboration.
- Stay ahead of market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer preferences to inform your strategy and recommendations.
- Coordinate closely with internal teams (merchandising, operations, logistics, etc.) to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfactio
Responsibilities
- 7+ years of experience in the category industry, retail, or e-commerce, including team leadership and full P&L ownership.
- Strong understanding of the category ecosystem in the market: key players, price ladders, customer segments, and sourcing models.
- Graduate of a top-tier business or engineering school (Top 5 in your country or globally recognized).
- Strong commercial leadership and negotiation capabilities with C-level stakeholders.
- Proven track record in managing teams, delivering results through people, and developing talent.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking, with the ability to structure category plans and drive execution.
- Fluency in English and French; excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Comfortable working with data and tools (Excel, dashboards, Google Suite, CRM, BI tools).
- High resilience and adaptability in fast-paced, growth-oriented environments.
