Mission Description
Reporting to the Manager – Airfreight Imports Operations, the preferred candidate will be responsible for the below key result areas:
Responsibilities
- Ensure all the necessary documents required to make entries are in order.
- Lodge accurate Customs entries in the KRA system, ensure a set of the local COC processing is shared with the supervisor.
- Support Supervisor with all taxes/fee computation inquiries including eg KEBS, Port health, radiation etc.
- Constantly check in Tradex/ICMS to confirm any passing & KENTRADE or rejection of entries, respond to Customs messages pertaining to any queries raised regarding the same through TRADEX.
- Ensure customs files have all the necessary attachments, ensure KEBS consignment documents are complete and a set to obtain local COC is shared with the supervisor or PORT operation team in real time.
- Support the supervisor on inquiries regarding documents, Customs duties, Customs requirements and regulations.
- Handle Customs queries in liaison with the supervisor.
- Lodge accurate IDF’s in the KRA ICMS system.
- Lodge PGA regulatory import permits & other consignment documents in TFP-KenTrade system.
Profile
- Diploma in Clearing and Forwarding or related field.
- EACFFP Certificate
- ICMS training and password is mandatory.
- 2 years relevant experience
