Saferworld is seeking an experienced Internal Auditor to lead internal audit assignments and support strong financial controls across our global operations. This role is central to ensuring transparency, accountability, and effective risk management throughout the organisation.

Reporting to the CEO and working closely with the Director of Finance and Operations, the post holder will undertake internal audit assignments and compliance reviews aimed at improving Saferworld's internal systems and processes. The post-holder will also support the enhancement of financial controls and build the capacity of finance and operational teams to implement them effectively.

The role requires a high level of initiative; proven skills and experience in project management; experience working collaboratively with others to achieve our vision; and strong communication and problem-solving skills.

We're looking for a professionally qualified auditor ( ACCA, CPA, CIMA) with significant experience in internal audits, preferably in international or multi-country INGO settings. Additional experience working with offices/partners in/on conflict affected contexts is highly desirable. Familiarity with donor-funded audits (FCDO, EU) and experience working across diverse teams is highly desirable.
