Description

We are looking for an Individual to join the team in the position of HR Officer. She/he shall perform all Human Resources functions, perform administrative tasks and services to support the effective and efficient operations of the human resource department. The incumbent shall also support with recruitment, employment law & statutory compliance, performance management, employee attendance management, and clerical support to all employees.

Hours of Work:

40 hours per week. Usual working hours are between 6:00pm-2:00am Mon to Friday. The start and end times may be subject to change, and are at the sole discretion of the management based on the company’s needs.

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Recruitment and onboarding – proactively plan for human resources and manage staff acquisition process including sourcing, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding.
  2. Performance Management – monitoring probation period for new staff, participate in end of probation performance appraisals, and issue confirmation letters. Monitor the implementation of the performance improvement process with non-performing employees.
  3. Employee Relations – ensure appropriate internal communication at all staff levels.
  4. Employee Welfare – manage staff welfare programs which include medical scheme, and Work Injury benefits cover. Propose and implement staff welfare programs aimed at increasing overall employee engagement and satisfaction.
  5. Undertake training needs analysis, projections, and developing training programs.
  6. Monitor workforce productivity and engagement for trends and changes that require intervention.
  7. Maintain knowledge of progressive HR practices, trends and data points to drive enhancements and mitigate potential compliance problems.
  8. Any other tasks as assigned by the Manager.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management or related discipline.
  2. Current HR Practicing certificate.
  3. In-depth understanding of Kenyan labour laws.
  4. At least 3-years of experience in a similar role with related responsibilities.
  5. Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Good communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  8. Strong interpersonal skills and a high level of integrity.
  9. Strong social and Interactive skills
  10. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the organization.
