They are seeking a hands-on Human Resources Associate to support the full spectrum of HR operations including recruitment, employee relations, records management, and compliance. Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • End-to-End Recruitment Logistics: Coordinate the full recruitment cycle including job advertising, shortlisting, interview scheduling, and candidate communications.
  • Onboarding Coordination: Facilitate new hire onboarding by preparing contracts, conducting orientations, and ensuring smooth integration into the organization.

Records & Employee Data Management

  • File Management: Maintain accurate and confidential employee files, both in hard copy and digital formats, ensuring compliance with data protection regulations.
  • HRIS Updates: Regularly update HR systems with staff details, role changes, leave balances, and other relevant information.

Attendance & Leave Tracking

  • Staff Attendance Oversight: Monitor daily attendance, flag anomalies, and generate attendance reports.
  • Leave & Medical Claims Management: Track and process employee leave applications, sick days, and medical reimbursements in line with policy.

Employee Engagement & Wellness

  • Program Support: Assist in planning and executing employee engagement activities, team-building sessions, and wellness initiatives that foster a positive work environment.
  • Feedback Channels: Help maintain open communication channels for employee feedback, grievances, and suggestions.

Performance Management

  • Appraisal Coordination: Support the performance appraisal process by distributing forms, scheduling review sessions, and compiling performance documentation.
  • Follow-Up Actions: Track development plans and ensure performance records are updated post-appraisal.

Training & Development

  • Training Logistics: Organize internal and external training sessions, including booking venues, managing attendance, and handling vendor payments.
  • Learning Records: Maintain records of all training sessions, attendance, feedback, and outcomes for future reference and reporting.

HR Policies & Compliance

  • Policy Updates: Keep HR policy documents up to date and ensure all staff have access to the latest versions.
  • Audit Preparation: Support internal and external HR audits by compiling required documentation and ensuring compliance with labor laws.

Reporting

  • Monthly HR Reports: Prepare and submit regular reports on key HR metrics, including headcount, turnover, leave trends, disciplinary actions, and recruitment status.

Qualifications

  • Degree or Higher Diploma in HRM, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years in HR, ideally in a dynamic or tech-oriented environment.
  • Member of IHRM and knowledgeable in Kenyan labor laws.
  • Experience with HRIS (e.g., BambooHR, Zoho People) is an advantage.
