Our client is a reputable and growing hospitality company based in Tanzania, with interests in upscale hotels, serviced apartments, and related service divisions such as laundry and food & beverage. With a commitment to delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence, the company is expanding its footprint with the launch of a new hotel and enhancement of existing apartment operations. They are seeking an experienced professional to join their leadership team and help drive their growth and service delivery goals.
Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day functions across front office, housekeeping, food & beverage, and guest services.
- Ensure adherence to cleanliness, safety, licensing, and service protocols.
- Address guest concerns and complaints promptly, ensuring high levels of satisfaction.
- Monitor online guest reviews and implement improvements based on feedback.
Facility & Maintenance Coordination
- Collaborate with maintenance staff to ensure optimal condition of hotel infrastructure and systems.
Financial Management
- Develop and manage operational budgets and financial reports.
- Drive revenue growth through optimized occupancy and rate strategies.
- Ensure cost controls and procurement policies are followed.
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor department heads and line staff.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and promote a culture of service excellence.
- Oversee staffing levels, work schedules, and labor compliance.
Sales, Marketing, and Community Engagement
- Support marketing initiatives to enhance occupancy, visibility, and local partnerships.
- Liaise with corporate clients, institutions, and tourism stakeholders for business development.
- Assist in execution of promotional campaigns, events, and seasonal offers.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality, Hotel Management, or Business.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in hotel operations, including 2 years in a managerial role.
- Experience managing both short- and long-stay accommodations is desirable.
- Strong grasp of hotel systems, guest service operations, and hospitality standards.
- Solid financial acumen and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal abilities.
