Our client is looking to fill the position of Group Finance Manager(Reporting Tax Compliance) . The candidate will be responsible for the accurate and timely production of consolidated financial information, ensuring consistency of reporting across all subsidiaries. The candidate will be reporting to the group finance director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consolidate the Group’s income statement, balance sheet and cash flow information on a monthly and annual basis, ensuring that they are timely, accurate and fit for purpose.
  • Interpret new accounting standards, prepare impact assessments and owns the implementation on behalf of the Group.
  • Develop and maintain the Group’s Financial Accounting and Reporting Policies in accordance with IFRS including testing and certification of all models such as IFRS 9 and IFRS 16 developed on a monthly basis by respective responsible functions.
  • Ensure, in conjunction with other Group Finance functions, that changes to the Group’s consolidation and other reporting systems (IFRS 9, IFRS 16) are accurate and made on a timely basis to meet compliance and reporting requirements.
  • Act as the Integrated Reporting champion and coordinate other divisions of business to develop regular comprehensive integrated reports.
  • Ensure that Financial Accounting and Reporting Policies are adhered to throughout the Group through the provision of ongoing education and training.
  • Ensure that all necessary master data is maintained to support the Group’s consolidation.
  • Act as primary source of advice for Financial Accounting and Reporting queries – both subsidiary-based queries and also Group structuring queries.
  • Act as primary point of contact for key areas of reporting such as impairment reviews, investments etc.
  • Assist with the financial accounting and reporting aspects of any acquisition integrations including fair value adjustments, goodwill calculation and consolidation of acquired balances.
  • Maintain the Group’s models for going concern and viability assessments.
  • Be Responsible for individual aspects of the monthly and full year externally reported financial statements and provides support for any interim and preliminary results.
  • Maintain and develop the disclosure models to ensure that all necessary subsidiaries information is collected to support the Group’s disclosure requirements in the Annual Report and financial statements.
  • Ensure tax compliance for all subsidiaries and the group.
  • Manage compliance with tax laws and all tax & levies aspects including transfer pricing, withholding taxes, indirect taxes, PAYE and tax planning.
  • Oversight of annual tax computations and returns process for all subsidiaries and group.
  • New and existing product evaluation to determine taxation impact.
  • Optimization of Group and subsidiary taxation expense, by identifying areas of tax savings.
  • Liaise with Tax Consultants on tax related matters including tax planning.
  • Provide support to subsidiaries when dealing with revenue authorities on all matters relating to taxation.
  • Responsible for tax side of budgets and forecasts.
  • Perform ad hoc reviews on accounting and reporting matters to ensure consistency across subsidiaries and compliance with Group standards and policies.
  • Any other duties as may be assigned or allocated by immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • Must have relevant bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Must have CPA(K) or ACCA finalist.
  • Must have 7-10 years’ experience.
  • 3 Of the years’ experience must be managerial level.
  • Must be working at Audit farm.
