Job Summary
MP Shah Hospital is looking to recruit a professional and evidence-driven person for a vacancy in the following position of an Echocardiography Technician.
Objective:
Treating and diagnosing patients using echocardiography testing equipment. Task: To perform technological duties associated with echocardiography (Echo) scans, providing doctors with information regarding cardiovascular diseases, illnesses and disorders. Supervision: You will work alongside the Cardiologist-In –Charge or Cardiologist on duty/call .

Responsibilities
• Gather a patient's medical history.
• Explain testing procedures to patients.
• Monitor the patient's status and note any abnormalities.
• Observe the findings and generate written reports in a predefined format available in the Cardiac Unit. All images to be stored and issued to patients where applicable.
• Report findings to the patient's doctor for further analysis.
• Maintain a file with all patients reports and recorded images
• Responsible for safeguarding Echo equipments in the hospital.
• Clean the Echo equipments and maintain their medical supplies/consumables.
• Perform any other relevant duties as shall be assigned by the In-charge Cardiologist

Qualifications
• Prior minimum experience of 3 years as a Echocardiagraphy Technician.
• Familiarity with medical office administrative procedures
• Familiarity with medical imaging
• Familiarity with medical terminology, as well as anatomy & physiology
• Familiarity, knowledge, and ability to use computer hardware and software applications
• Ability to assess and assist patients during visit
• Ability to establish and maintain rapport with the patients, providers, and other staff
• Ability to work as part of care team to accomplish multiple priorities and tasks
• Ability to maintain attention to detail
• Ability to maintain a high performance level of customer service
• Ability to implement direct care
