Driver – Van/Pick up
To ensure safe, efficient, and timely transportation of personnel, goods, or materials using a company van while maintaining the vehicle in good condition and complying with traffic laws and company policies.
Responsibilities

- Operate the company van to transport goods, staff, or equipment as assigned.
- Ensure timely pickups and deliveries in accordance with the day’s schedule.
- Plan routes to avoid delays and ensure efficient transportation.
Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection
- Conduct daily vehicle inspections before and after trips (fuel, oil, tires, lights, brakes).
- Report mechanical issues promptly to the transport/logistics officer.
- Ensure the van is kept clean, fueled, and in roadworthy condition at all times.
Compliance & Documentation
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws, safety regulations, and company transport policies.
- Maintain accurate records including mileage logs, delivery notes, and maintenance reports.
- Safeguard all transported goods and ensure proper documentation for each trip.
Communication & Support
- Maintain communication with the office regarding route changes or delays.
- Provide courteous assistance to passengers or clients being transported.
- Support loading and offloading activities where necessary.
Security & Safety
- Ensure cargo is safely secured during transportation.
- Be vigilant and take appropriate precautions to prevent theft or damage to the van or its contents.
Job Requirements
Key Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum KCSE Certificate (or equivalent).
- Valid Kenyan driving license class B, C, E (van/light vehicle category).
- Minimum of 5 Years driving experience, preferably in a corporate or logistics environment.
- Certificate of Good Conduct from the police.
- Basic mechanical knowledge is an added advantage.
- Defensive driving certification is a plus.
