Postion Objectives
• Expectedto play a donor finance business partner who will ensure smooth day to day business operations within the CPHD finance team while ensuring timely escalation of matters to the Group Finance Manager.
• Offer financial support to the Program Director and Project managers when developing donor budgets.
• Work closely with project managers to ensure all donor budgets are reasonable given the current deliverables to ensure full spend especially on personnel budgets while ensuring donor compliance.
• Ensure monthly coordination meetings with each project manager to track Budget Vs Actual Spends (BvAs).
• Coordination of donor audits if any is required.
• Preparation of donor financial reports.
• Offer guidance and solutions on donor compliance rules.
• Staff timesheet management.
• Oversee and ensure proper book keeping for CPHD interrelated parties Accounts.
• Posting of any corrections and adjustments if at all required.
• Manage the finance officer to ensure all areas of posting and reconciliations in regards to P&L and BS are up to date and done within cut off dates and support in developing the ToR.
• Processing of the CPHD payroll.
• Uploading all existing donor budgets on to Navision to ensure correct BvAs.
• Coordinate and oversee creation of existing grants project coding to the the Navision system.
• Prepare and ensure correct balances are reflection onto Navision from Quickbooks.
• Support in submission of correct NGO Returns.
• Ensure all finance Delloitte and Touche due diligence are adhered to.
• Support in developing CPHD Annual Financial Budget.
• Ensure all statutory deduction are processed and paid on time.
• Support Establishment of the CPHD simulation center accounting system and reporting system.
• Manage and process Staff imprest’s as per policy.
• Oversee Treasury Management and timely payments to creditors don’t go beyond 30 days.
• Oversee Asset list management.
• Manage the finance officer to ensure all areas of posting and reconciliations in regards to P&L and BS are up to date and done within cut off dates on Navision.
• Ensure finance data is analyzed correctly for informed decision making.
• Ensure proper and sound bank reconciliations processing of all financial data while ensuring all policies and procedures are adhered to.

Qualifications and Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting.
• Master’s degree in will be an added advantage.
• A postgraduate qualification in project management will also be an added advantage.
• Professional Qualification such as CFA/CPAK or similar.
• Superior mathematical skills.
• Superior team management.
• Clear understanding of data privacy standards.
• Solid communication skills both written and verbal.
• Deep understanding of business principles and practices, superior attention to detail , organizational,skills planning skills research skills , analytical skills , critical thinking skills, multitasking abilities,integrity and honesty.
• Working knowledge of all statutory legislations and regulations
• A postgraduate qualification in project management will also be an added advantage.
• Registered with the relevant professional bodies.
 Experience
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in finance management
• Proven abilities in working with multiple sectors and stakeholders to achieve programmatic and,financial results.
• Knowledge of/experience in finance management
• Demonstrated technical management, supervision and leadership experience, especially related to team building and mentoring a diverse and multicultural staff
• Experience working in donor funded programs in areas such as budgeting, supervisory management, donor financial compliance, finance delivery reporting.
• Demonstrated leadership skills.
