Are you an experienced Cook with excellent culinary skills and housekeeping techniques? Our client based in Maasai Mara is looking to recruit a detail-oriented Cook/Housekeeper who will run the camp, clean, prepare beds, setup rooms, laundry, boilers & firewood, carry guest bags, ground work, etc. They will be assisted by other staff with some of these tasks when it is busy. Must have experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor food stock and place orders.
• Come up with recipes and food plans.
• Ensuring a high standard of cleanliness.
• Monitor and report necessary domestic repairs and replacements.
• Set the table and prepare food for all three meals.
• Daily cleaning and organizing of the camp’s facilities.
• Guest Management.
• Keeping stock of all the Camps equipment.
• Daily Food management-using leftovers & perishables before they expire.

Qualifications:

• Must have at least a Certificate in Hotel Management &/or related field.
• Must have at least 5 years of proven work experience as a cook/housekeeper in a camp or hotel.
• Must possess good inventory management skills.
• Must possess excellent culinary skills.
• Must have worked with expatriates or in a multicultural environment.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision and maintain a high level of performance.
• Must possess a First Aid Certificate.
