Description

We are looking for a Finance and Operations manager who will be responsible for the managing the day to day finance function for Kenya Skills for Prosperity programme.

Kenya Skills for Prosperity (KS4P) is a new programme that will improve access to HE and TVET education for marginalised and unemployed youth, will strengthen education to industry links and develop an enabling environment for a strong skills ecosystem through technical assistance and capacity building.

This role will ensure rigorous budget design, financial monitoring, control and reporting, working across multiple geographies to ensure budget and donor requirements are adhered to.

You will enjoy working independently as well as with colleagues of varying backgrounds and levels of financial literacy, supporting capacity building programmes for local partners.

The successful postholder will be a fully or partially qualified accountant or equivalent experience with a working knowledge of charity SORP principles.

 

About you

You will have demonstrable experience in managing a finance function and a tried and tested knowledge of financial controls and risk management.

You will have excellent analytical skills with the ability to analyse complex financial data, design and producing effective reports for management information. You will be always seeking to improve processes and systems where there is a gap or opportunity.

You will enjoy leading and managing finances in an International NGO, with experience of building financial capacity of finance teams and others.

You will be able to communicate and build relationships beyond the confines of a traditional finance function creating a solution focused approach with all you work with.
