As we expand, we’re seeking a meticulous Compliance Officer to safeguard our operations against regulatory risks and maintain our gold-standard compliance across all locations. Your Impact
You’ll be the guardian of our legal and operational integrity, ensuring every branch meets:
- National/county licensing mandates
- OSHA health & safety standards
- TRA hospitality regulations
- Food handler certification protocols
- Immigration compliance for expatriate staff
Responsibilities
Regulatory Mastery
- Secure/renew 20+ critical licenses (trade, health, signage) for all branches
- Lead new branch compliance launches no openings without full clearance
- Manage all Tourism Regulatory Authority (TRA) certifications
Workplace Safety Leadership
- Conduct surprise OSHA audits & drive corrective actions
- Maintain 100% valid food handler certifications through bi-annual medical coordination
Strategic Compliance Management
- Develop real-time compliance dashboards tracking 200+ regulatory milestones
- Rate branches via standardized audits (license validity, documentation, safety)
- Brief executives on emerging county regulations and risk exposure
Field Operations
- Monthly branch inspections across Kenya
- On-site staff training for license display/documentation protocols
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Law/Public Admin/Environmental Health
- 3+ years compliance experience (hospitality/FMCG preferred)
- Licensing Guru: Deep knowledge of Kenyan business permits & county regulations
- OSHA Specialist: Audit experience with corrective action planning
- Tech-Savvy: Advanced Excel + compliance tracking systems
