  • Conduct Genuine Student (GS) assessments and financial checks within policy and turnaround times.
  • Meet KPIs for accuracy, responsiveness, and service quality.
  • Maintain accurate records in student systems.
  • Escalate complex cases as needed.
  • Provide feedback on application quality and documentation issues.
  • Respond to enquiries professionally and promptly.
  • Identify emerging GS risks and recommend improvements.
  • Support reporting and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or experience in international admissions, compliance, case management, or customer service.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of international education systems and qualifications.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy.
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Compliance Officer to support international student application and enrolment processing for our partner, Western Sydney University (WSU). The role ensures high-quality assessments, supports student recruitment, and upholds visa and policy compliance.

 

You will assess applicants’ academic backgrounds, financial capacity, and immigration history to support visa integrity and risk management. The role also monitors GS trends and visa risk indicators, providing insights to Admissions and Recruitment, and contributes to ongoing improvements under the Simplified Student Visa Framework (SSVF).
