Our client Mdundo is looking to hire a Chief Operating Officer(COO) to manage and develop the operational excellence of the company with operations across Africa .

The right candidate will get the opportunity to become part of a highly professional and dynamic team constantly expanding and developing across Africa. The role is newly created giving you the opportunity to help shape it. For the right candidate, the remuneration package can include stock warrants.

Key Responsibilities

• Financial Modeling, Budgets, and Financial Reporting: Manage financial and accounting processes, including financial reporting to the Board of Directors, modeling, and budgeting.
• Strategy & Special Projects: Oversee strategy implementation and management of special projects.
• Organisational Development: Manage Organisational Development, HR policy, and talent management processes.
• Investor Relations: Assist in handling investor relations including producing regulatory company announcements, press releases, investor newsletter, investor presentations, etc.
• Board Engagement: Prepare board material and implement specific strategic projects.
• Oversee legal and compliance matters and handle other business support and administrative tasks.

Key Qualifications

• Master’s Degree level.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferable across Africa
• Experience and skills to handle and/or optimize day-to-day financial tasks across borders including bookkeeping, accounts payables, accounts receivables, tax-optimization, cash-flow management, etc.
• A good understanding of drivers in a digital business.
• Strong entrepreneurial and leadership skills.
• Have a hands-on approach to problem-solving of day-to-day issues.
• Strong drive and an ability to work independently and in a team.
