The product range includes life and general insurance, pensions, investment planning, wealth management, retirement planning and medical insurance. As part of our growth strategy, the Company seeks to recruit a dynamic, passionate, innovative and result orientated professional to the below position;

Main Purpose of the Job- (Job Summary)

The job holder is responsible for assisting the Finance Manager in the Financial Management of the company’s operations, setting up and enforcing all the internal controls of the company’s operations while complying with all statutory requirements.

Main Responsibilities
•    Keeping proper books of Accounts and production of Management Reports.
•    Regulating, Coordinating and facilitating conduction of Annual Audits
•    Developing, enforcing and regulating internal control systems for all company operations
•    Cash flow management – ensuring that sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital investment requirements.
•    Budgeting – Manage the preparation of the company’s budget
•    Statutory compliance and Taxes – Ensure all Commissioner of Insurance returns are processed and submitted within the required timelines.
•    Agency and credit Control – Monitor daily and Ensure all certificates and policies issued are paid for and money due collected both in the Head office and in all Branches
•    Ensure Quarterly reinsurance statements are reconciled and sent to reinsurers within 60 days after end of quarter.

Knowledge & Experience
The candidate must demonstrate and possess the following skills and qualifications:
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce or business related field

Professional Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant or ACCA qualification

Key Attributes:

Excellent communication skills, particularly in regard to presenting the results of analyses to management.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and PowerPoint.
Strong organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills.
Experience
Minimum Seven years’ Finance preferably Insurance Industry.
