About Our Client
This is a reputable manufacturer of high-performance flooring solutions globally.
Responsibilities
- Achieve annual sales targets for the South African territory.
- Conduct market analysis on competitors, sector trends, opportunities, and key players.
- Review and strengthen the commercial strategy based on market potential.
- Manage, train, and support existing distributors; identify and appoint new distributors where needed.
- Drive product specification by engaging architects, interior designers, health authorities, QS firms, builders, and other specifiers-particularly within the healthcare and education sectors.
- Promote and sell products to flooring contractors, general contractors, and end-users.
- Conduct joint client visits and technical training sessions with distributor sales teams.
- Implement company pricing policies accurately and consistently.
- Organize "lunch & learn" sessions with specifiers to increase product awareness.
- Maintain detailed project records and ensure effective use of CRM tools.
- Represent the company at trade shows and support distributor-led roadshows.
- Provide ongoing market intelligence related to competitors, product trends, distribution, and standards.
- Coordinate customer factory visits and handle complaint inspections where required.
Applying Instructions
Background & Experience:
- Minimum 5 years' B2B sales experience, ideally with distributor management exposure.
- Experience within the flooring, building materials, or construction industry is a strong advantage.
- Proven experience selling via specification to architects, designers, and related stakeholders.
- Fluent in English.
- Business or related tertiary qualification.
Skills & Behaviour:
- Sales-driven, confident, and relationship-oriented.
- Highly organised, self-motivated, and proactive.
- Strong reporting discipline and accountability.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Computer literate with CRM experience.
