Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of transactions.
- Support tax compliance, including preparation and filing of VAT, PAYE, and other statutory returns.
- Assist in budget preparation, monitoring, and variance analysis.
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate general ledger accounts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Maintain proper filing and documentation of financial records.
- Liaise with internal departments and external stakeholders as required.
Qualifications
- CPA II qualification; CPA(K) is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and analytical skills.
- Good understanding of the Kenyan tax system and statutory filing requirements.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Our client, a reputable company, is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.
The ideal candidate will assist in preparing financial statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring tax compliance, and supporting the budgeting process. This role requires a high level of accuracy, proficiency in accounting software, and familiarity with the Kenyan tax system.
