Description
Narok County Government was formed by the County Governments Act of 2012 as prescribed in the 2010 Constitution of Kenya. It is one of the 47 devolved units situated in the Great Rift Valley in the Southern part of the Country where it boarders the republic of Tanzania. Narok County has its headquarters in Narok Town, off Narok Nakuru Road. Narok County comprises of six (6) sub-counties namely: Narok North, Narok West, Narok East, Narok South, Transmara East and Transmara West.

JOB GRADE: CPSB 13 (JG ‘F’)
NUMBER OF POSITIONS: ONE HUNDRED AND FIFTY (150)
TERMS OF SERVICE: Permanent and Pensionable
SALARY SCALE: Ksh 19,220 X 680 – 19,900 X 700 – 20,600 X 780 – 21,380 X 800- 22,180X950 – 23,130 per month
Responsibilities
- Maintain the security of wildlife and prevent poaching
- Safeguard tourists and perform various parade duties
- Undertake sentry duties, manning report and inquiry offices
- Investigate wildlife-related crimes and preserve crime scenes
- Track and recover illegal wildlife products
- Collect intelligence and interrogate suspects
- Compile environmental and conservation crime statistics
- Compiling nominal rolls
- Prepare nominal rolls and undertake patrols and escort duties
- Participate in rescue operations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Candidates must:
- Have a minimum of KCSE Grade D- (Minus)
- Be a Kenyan citizen with a valid National Identity Card
- Have no criminal record
- Possess a valid Certificate of Good Conduct
- Be physically and mentally fit
- Be aged between 18 and 28 years
- Be at least 5 feet 4 inches tall for men and 5 feet 2 inches tall for womenHave good hearing and clear vision
- Be computer literate
- Female candidates must not be pregnant at the time of recruitment or duringinitialtraining
- Meet the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya (LeadershipandIntegrity) and Article 232 (Values and Principles of Public Service)
- Note: Successful applicants will undergo a paramilitary training course lasting
