Responsibilities

  • Prepare, file, and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual tax returns (VAT, PAYE, Corporate Tax, Withholding Tax) as per Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) regulations.
  • Maintain up-to-date tax ledgers and records to support audits and statutory reviews.
  • Monitor changes in tax regulations and implement necessary process updates.
  • Coordinate with external tax consultants and respond to KRA audits or queries.

Inventory Auditing & Control

  • Conduct routine and ad hoc inventory audits across warehouses and distribution points.
  • Reconcile physical inventory with system records (ERP or manual) and investigate variances.
  • Collaborate with logistics and warehouse teams to enforce stock control protocols.
  • Develop and implement internal audit checklists for ongoing stock verification.

Administrative & Legal Documentation Support

Maasai Mara experience
  • Draft and organize contracts, resolutions, license renewals, and regulatory filings.
  • Ensure statutory records and compliance documents are up-to-date and securely filed.
  • Support liaison with legal advisors, regulators, and company secretarial functions.
  • Maintain the corporate compliance calendar for legal and tax deadlines.

Customs Bonded Warehouse Oversight

    • Supervise all activities within the bonded warehouse, ensuring strict compliance with Kenya Revenue Authority (Customs & Border Control) requirements.
    • Monitor movement of bonded goods in and out of the warehouse and ensure proper documentation (e.g., import/export entries, customs declarations).
    • Prepare and submit bonded warehouse stock reports, reconciliation statements, and release documentation as per customs regulations.
    • Coordinate with clearing agents, customs officers, and logistics partners to facilitate smooth clearance and warehousing processes.
    • Stay updated on customs laws, tariffs, and import/export licensing requirements, and ensure the organization is fully compliant.

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Logistics, or related field. | Familiarity with customs and excise procedures in Kenya is essential.
  • 3+ years experience in tax accounting, inventory auditing, and bonded warehouse operations. | Legal or company secretarial training or experience is a plus.
  • CPA (K), ACCA, or equivalent accounting qualification preferred.
  • Immediate Joiner to 15 days Notice Period Preferred.

Work from office – Monday to Friday – 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Salary Range from KES 90,000–100,000 PM.
